Sabine Scho

Sabine Scho, photographer and writer born in 1970, was based in São Paulo from 2006-2014 and now lives in Berlin. Her texts all lie somewhere between photography, illustration and painting. Most recently published:  Animals in Architecture, Kookbooks 2013. The Origin of Senses together with Andreas Töpfer, Natural History Museum Berlin 2015. House for a Boxer, Sabine Scho, Sebastian Felix Ernst and Golden Diskó Ship, Hatje Cantz 2021. The Origin of Values, Sabine Scho and Matthias Holtmann, published by Villa Aurora/Thomas Mann House in celebration of the Sophie Charlotte Salon of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, Berlin 2021.

She taught "Uncertain Formats" as a visiting professor at the German Literature Institute Leipzig 2018/19.

Distinctions, among others: German Prize for Nature Writing 2018.

Rome laureate of the German Academy Villa Massimo for the academic year 2019/2020.
